the Life, the Love and the Sex of Vienna.

Simply Céline.

Céline Dion D'elles 2007

I just can’t say or write anything because she stands for herself, describes herself and always stays herself. The wonderful, sophisticated, beautiful Céline Dion. My most favorite artist in the world. And the only diva who should be allowed to be called like that because there is no attitude but pure talent, grace and elegance. It seems that since a couple of days I can’t get this one special song out of my head and most importantly out of my heart. This is for you:

On s’est aimé à cause
(Album: D’elles)

Enjoy – have a wonderful night and an even better start into the new week.

XOXO

Hi R!
I love Céline too. She gets a lot of flack even from the french press but I don’t care. There’s no other artiste in the world like her. She’s not Madge or Shakira(I adore both btw) nor avante garde like Gaga. Céline is mainstream and there’s nothing wrong with that. Coming from a very humble family she’s earned every cent of her half $billion fortune.

Céline comes from a very humble family of 14 children and there was not always enough food on the table nor new clothes every season. When she came to sing in France for the first time at the age of 13 as she was invited by a TV station who had heard about her budding talent Céline had only one pair of good sunday shoes that she wore for stage but before she had to go on the TV show to sing…her shoe strap broke. She cried and panicked as they were her only formal shoes she possesed. Luckily a studio make up artist took pity on her tears & lent her a pair of shoes. Its just an example of what a humble background Céline comes from and how she’s worked her way up by sheer determination and THAT voice. Anyway I love the shoe story as its a fine example of how we take for granted what we have and makes me love Céline even more. Since that shoe incident Céline swore she would never want for shoes ever again in her life and you can imagine her shoe collection now that would make Imelda Marcus’s collection look like a packet of peanuts.
I hope you don’t mind me sharing this video of one of my favourite songs from the lady. It shows in the video a bit of her origins and familt spirit. I just love it.
Hope you are having a great summer R. I’m off to Greece & then Ibiza next week for my summer break.

Amitiés
Jeanne
