Pretty Little Liars: the Big Midseason BetrAyal!

Pretty Little Liars: the BetrAyal Suspect Tracker

Who will betrAy our Pretty Little Liars?

Well, well, well it’s here: the Midseason Summer Finale of our nasty Pretty Little Liars! I think it is going to be pretty epic and I can’t wait to see who is responsible for the big betrAyal that will cause our girls so much pAin that they think the world is opening up before their feet trying to swAllow them completely. Aren’t you as excited as me? Do your brains work on trying to solve the riddle of Team A?

There are a lot of theories on the World Wide Web on how the Liars are going to be betrAyed but I definitely think that someone is going to die (someone just has to, right?!) and that none of our four liars is directly involved in being the betrAyer but I will keep an open spot for that Job for either Melissa, Paige or Ashley. The thing is – there is nothing told about what the betrAyal is so it could be anything and just indirectly involved with A and/or Team A! At least we get to know one member of Team A.

Ah I am so thrilled and excited and I just can’t wait until the television starts to blast Secret by The Pierces because then I know the episode is definitely about to start and the marathon of emotions is not just close but finally here!

Let’s see what crazy Mona holds in stores for us for this episode for I think our lunatic has a little surprise up her black hooded sleeves. We’ll see, we’ll see.
Until it’s here hold your breath bitches because this episode is going to be pretty fucking E-P-I-C!

Friday Night Lights

Friday Night Lights

I think people need obsessions. I sincerely do. I don’t think people need obsessions in an OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder) manner but in a way to make themselves fall in love with something. A dream, a book, a song, a TV-Show, a movie, a person (not in a stalker-ish way but in a relaxed, ‘I don’t think I want to spend the rest of my life without you’-sort of attitude). Since the latter seems to be out of the picture for myself (at least just for the moment, hopefully) I have decided to go back to an old manner of obsessions. A new old one.

Friday Night Lights Season 1 Poster

There was once a TV-Show, an American sports drama television series, to be more precise, starring Kyle Chandler, Connie Britton and (the fabulously handsome and beautiful) Scott Porter, who unfortunately decided to leave the show after season three. Nevertheless, Friday Night Lights is one of the most amazing drama series ever shown on TV and although the critics were very anticipated about the show praising it for its authenticity and acting, it unfortunately never obtained a sizeable audience. But, in all its glory the show was, because of its many awards (Peabody Award, Humanitas Prize, Primetime Emmy Award, etc.) and nominations, and the support of a strong fan-base, on air for five seasons consisting of a total of 76 episodes.

So, obviously this is my new (old) obsession – a TV Show that is off the air since February 9th, 2011 but couldn’t be kept out of my heart and mine. Most people do not know that I love football and that I ALWAYS stay up for the Superbowl even though I have to get up in the morning for work. It just is the greatest sport. Most people also don’t think I am a sports kind of guy even though I love to watch a great of sports but just particular ones like Football, Archery, Swimming and Basketball.

Enough of myself, back to topic: this series is, as stated before one of the most wonderful, powerful shows ever shown on TV. Not just because of its authentic view on life at a public high school or the pressure of adolescence and future plans but also the fact of the unbelievably well developed characters, their emotional depth and their great acting. To me, this is one of the gems of television history and I am going to relive it episode for episode. (And yes, I will admit, there will be a little bit of drooling involved every time I’ll see Scott Porter portraying Jason Street but hey, I am just a gay human being. But, between you and me – this is more than just a crush for I happen to think that Scott Porter is an amazingly talented actor whom I love watching on Hart of Dixie. Can’t wait for season 2 to start!)

So, if you’ve got some time either decide to get obsessed about this wonderful series or find yourself something to obsess about but please don’t stalk someone or get obsessed with murder, OK? Just some harmless little bit of obsessive fun.

Take Care,

NEWS FLASH: Pretty Little Liars

Here it is – the Season 3 Promo trailer of ABC Family’s hit drama show ‘Pretty Little Liars’. The one thing all the fans have been waiting for except for the actual start on June 5, 2012. New characters, new secrets, deaths and secret black swans, – ‘The Web is more tAngled than they ever imagined. It’s only just begun!’

Hannah and Caleb’s relationship will suffer from a secret Caleb has been keeping (Thank God – I hope she upgrades herself to someone more elaborate than that criminal). Aria and Ezra will be celebrating something and no it is not an accidental pregnancy (We’d Wish!) but their first year anniversary and Emily will be dealing with Maya’s possible (and maybe faux) death.

But until June 5th I will have to keep myself stuck on watching the first season on DVD – Just started with episode one and this is going to be a long night. Have a great one!

Do You Want to Run With Me?

‘Then I had a thought… Maybe I didn’t break him [Big], maybe the problem was he couldn’t break me. Maybe some women/men aren’t meant to be tamed. Maybe they need to run free until they find someone just as wild to run with.’
[Carrie Bradshaw – Sex and the City; Season 2; Episode 18: Ex and the City]

Sex and the City - Complete Season 2

And there, sitting on my chaise longue, being on my 8th day of my 28 Days of Sugar Cleansing, watching numerous episodes of Carrie struggling with love and life and money problems while after episode 18 of season 2 it hits me and I have a thought. Maybe she is right – Carrie Bradshaw. Maybe some people (like me or, maybe even you?!) shouldn’t really try to be in a relationship with people who either can’t handle them, can’t seem to try or, who give up because it turns out to be too complicated and settle for something; someone more steady, simpler, less complicated.

Maybe there is someone out there who suddenly appears who will not stop to tame me (or you) but who will make an effort to keep up, because he wants to. Because he wants to run with me (or you). Because he is as wild and untamable as me (or you). Or, maybe one day we stand in front of each other after running and running and running together, deciding that it is finally time to calm down – not taming but soothing each other. Maybe one day the running is over and you can lean back to relax in the arms of someone who was there by your side – all along the wild way.

28 Days Sugar Detox

So this is it. I am going cold turkey. NO, neither on alcohol (done that before during Lenten season) nor on fashion (I’m not plain stupid!). I am going cold turkey on sugar. Yeah, you are right I am starting to take on my bucket list and though I actually planned on starting tomorrow I just got up at 6 am this morning and decided that this Friday would be THE perfect day to start.

At the moment I am feeling quite good and can focus very clearly on this text so I thought it would be a great idea to teach you all a little bit about the sugar cleansing program while GCB (Good Christian Bells, an ABC Show basing on the originally titled book Good Christian Bitches by Kim Gatlin) is playing on my TV.

the Do’s and Don’ts of Sugar Cleansing

– Fruit Drinks that aren’t 100% Juice
– Sodas
– Desserts (any kind – sorry guys but one’s gotta do what one’s gotta do!)
Processed Food
– Candy
– Condiments
– Avoid anything containing white or brown sugar; raw sugar; fructose (except for fresh fruit itself); maltose; sorbitol; evaporated cane juice; xylitol and barley malt
– Not doing any kind of Activity

– Three or four ounces of lean protein with every meal
– Fresh Fruit
– Vegetables
– Whole Grains (Brown Rice, Legumes)
– Plain and Unsweetened Yogurt (if you like taste in your yogurt you can add little fresh fruit or stevia or agave to it)
– Salad (for dressing only use olive oil or vinegar or both together)
– At least 30 minutes of Sports every single day (Cardio, running, swimming – whatever you feel like doing)
– Eat enough Protein
– Stick to low glycemic foods
– Check with your Doctor if such a detox could put you to any physical risk because of insulin resistance or hypoglycemia (only the one who plays it safely plays it correctly!)

A lot of people might wonder why I want to do that or actually already started relinquishing sugar – well, here’s an answer: To a healthy mind belongs a healthy body. The average person consumes 150 pounds of sugar a year, which doesn’t seem quite healthy to me and I want to finally have a perfect balance between my body and my mind. I want to feel really great again and I can only achieve that with sports, a cleansing to get all the crappy stuff out of my system, great clothes (that I already have as you may know) and my friends. The latter two I have – the other things I still have to work on. Sports is on my daily list since a couple of days now and the cleansing started today so I guess I am on a pretty good way to get in shape. At least the shape I expect myself to have. This is who I do this all for. Myself. Pretty selfish, I know BUT as I always love to point out – how can you expect someone else to love you if you can’t love yourself? And I am working on fully loving and embracing myself again.

What are you up to the next 28 days?

the End. For Now.

Pretty Little Liars Title

Well, well, well. Yesterday was THE grand finale of the month. Pretty Little Liars season two (Episode 25 – unmAsked) ended and it was not with a fizzle but with a bang! A big bang. If you haven’t seen the last episode by now you should definitely not read on because I am playing A’s part now – I am the tell-it-all bitch that sets off spoiler alert!

It was epic and I was thrilled with every single second of it. Spencer looked as stunning as ever and was amazingly tough – even better than ever before. One was able to see flames in her eyes when she looked at her sister Melissa (whom everyone believed to be A) from the backdoor stating, ‘Hide and seek was my favorite game with Melissa. You want to know why? I always won.’ And I believed her while hell froze and her stunning face gave me the creeps. Mona (played by stunningly beautiful Janel Parrish) is A. A is Mona. Well, not just in the books but also in the ABC Family TV-Show. Though being declared mentally ill, one can see that Mona should win an Academy Award for acting all loony while the A-Team gets ready for a big bitch slap in season 3 in which her part will never be at stakes! I actually have to bow for the cast and crew to play the Mona part so witty and not letting her die in the end (like in the books) but getting a bashing reprise in the following seasons.

Pretty Little Liars - Message from 'A'

Message from A right after she hit Hanna with her car. At least she was polite enough to apologize.

Other shocking details: Melissa definitely will get her big part in season three while Jenna has a surprise up her sleeves for the four liars – pretending she can’t see but actually having her sight back could get the girls a lot of more trouble. Spencer and Toby back together but hey, did everybody forget about the most beautiful of all guys? Hello – what about Wren!? Will there be a male bitch fight over Spencer?
The saddest tale of all Emily had to tell. At the end of her day all there was left was a dead body waiting for her to be discovered. Her girlfriend Maya was found dead. No murderer, no murderer weapon, no reason – so far. I bet there is going to be more on that once the Pretty Little Liars are finally back on screen. What I really liked about the fact of the girls finding Maya dead was the reminiscing musical moment because those who have watched from episode one might remember that the same tune was playing when Ali’s body was being found. Orelia Has Orchestra – Suggestions.

At the end of every day life is a lesson but what did the Pretty Little Liars learn? And what did those threatening the girls learn? Not just, ‘Never trust a pretty girl with an ugly secret’ but also “Never underestimate a pretty girl fighting for her right to have a normal life.’ Bitch A might be back but Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer can be bitches of their own.

P.S.: Dear Producers – I so hope (for your own good and safety) that season two will be on DVD soon. I can’t wait.
